13 Brothers, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, 14 I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14)
“2011 is history, but today is a new day.
"I’d like for us to reflect and
think on those words of Paul...”forgetting what is behind”, but looking forward
to what is ahead in 2012. Let us commit ourselves, as we commit to reading
through and studying God’s Word, let us commit ourselves to seeking God’s will
for our life, to seeking to allow the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and direct us
to be all that we can be.
"2012 can be a wonderful year for us as individuals and for us collectively as Ball Ground First Baptist Church. But much of that decision rests upon US! God stands ready to do His part. Do we stand ready to follow Him in obedience as we read and study His Word?”
“…Advantage to studying God’s Word? It will allow you and me to be able to be effectively used by the Holy Spirit of God to bear much fruit.”
